I love creativity in all its forms but especially in the shape of skateboarding and music. Ever since I was a kid.

Skateboarding taught me something very useful for my career: the art of failing. Just like in writing you have to try and fail, try and fail, try and fail – until you finally succeed. And the feeling when you finally land a trick after hundreds attempts and bruises is comparable to shaping and re-shaping a concept over and over until you finally sell it to a client. The same rush. The same rewarding feeling.

And music? It taught me the power of storytelling and sparked my interest in creative writing. Have you ever wondered why you still know the lyrics of a song you haven’t heard in years? It’s because some stories resonate with us on a deeper level than others. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of writing something that powerful.
